Jack Parnell

Jack is a master’s student on the MA Digital Art and Technology course at Plymouth University. He specialises in Game Design, working with software such as Maya, the Unreal Engine and the Adobe Creative suite.

In the past he has completed the Undergraduate Honours course, with a project focusing on digital narrative and alternative storytelling techniques. For the masters he is researching trans-media storytelling, and how narrative-driven video games can be enhanced with the use of social media and other digital medias to really bring the characters and worlds to life.

He has also done some work with local museums, combining the latest technologies and interactive techniques to bring history to life, and to make the museum experience more interactive and fun.

His interests include reading, creative writing, narrative-driven video games, the latest movies, and history – particularly Ancient Greece and Victorian England.
